ASSOCIATES DEGREE  COURSE DESCRIPTION

Summer Courses

  • How to Study the Bible - This course equips students with essential tools

and techniques for reading, understanding, and applying the Bible

effectively. Emphasis is placed on observation, interpretation, and practical

application for personal growth and ministry.

  • Christian Life and Spiritual Formation - Explores the journey of spiritual

growth and character development in the life of a believer. Students will

learn spiritual disciplines and rhythms that foster intimacy with God and

shape a Christ-centered lifestyle.

Fall Courses
  •  Old Testament Survey I - An overview of the Pentateuch and historical

books, highlighting major themes, key figures, and God's covenantal work

in the formation of Israel. Students will gain a foundational understanding

of the Old Testament narrative.

  • Theology I - Introduces core doctrines of the Christian faith such as the

nature of God, creation, humanity, sin, and revelation. Students will

develop a framework for sound theological thinking rooted in Scripture.●

Biblical Hermeneutics - This course provides a foundational approach to

interpreting Scripture responsibly. Students will explore context, genre,

historical background, and authorial intent to draw meaning from biblical

texts.

  • Foundations of Christian Doctrine - Covers essential teachings of the faith,

including salvation, the Church, the Holy Spirit, and the return of Christ.

Students will gain clarity on what Christians believe and why it matters.

Spring Courses

  • New Testament Survey - A comprehensive look at the life of Christ, the

early Church, and apostolic writings. This course examines key themes

and messages of each book in the New Testament.

  • Evangelism and Discipleship - Focuses on the mission of reaching the lost

  • Missions and Church Planting - Explores the biblical mandate for global

missions and the process of planting healthy, reproducing churches.

Summer Courses

  • Systematic Theology III - Advanced theological study covering

  • Christian Ethics - Engages students in evaluating moral and ethical issues

Fall Courses
  • Advanced Old Testament Exegesis - A deeper dive into interpreting Old

for teaching and application.

  • Pauline Theology - This course explores the major theological themes in

  • Advanced New Testament Exegesis - Builds on prior New Testament

  • Doctrine of the Holy Spirit - A focused study on the person and work of the

Holy Spirit, including His role in salvation, spiritual gifts, sanctification, and

the empowerment of the Church. This course emphasizes both theological

Spring Courses

  • The Life and Teachings of Jesus - An in-depth examination of the ministry,

message, and mission of Jesus Christ. This course explores the Gospels to

understand Christ’s role as Messiah, teacher, and Savior, while

emphasizing His model for discipleship.

  • Christian Apologetics - Equips students to defend the Christian faith with

  • Homiletics II - A continuation of foundational preaching skills with a focus

  • Contemporary Issues in Theology and Ethics - Addresses current

  • Apostolic Leadership and Governance- Explores apostolic models of

  • Spiritual Formation and the Interior Life - A deep exploration of the soul

work and interior disciplines essential to sustainable, Spirit-led leadership.

  • Biblical Theology of Power, Justice & Social Reform - An advanced study

of how Scripture addresses systems of power, institutional injustice, and

prophetic reform. Students will evaluate biblical responses to oppression,

equity, governance, and societal transformation through a Kingdom lens.

  • Cultural Intelligence and Ministry in the 21st Century - Prepares leaders to
